Recombinase polymerase amplification assay for rapid detection of Monkeypox virus [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In this study, a rapid method for the detection of Central and West Africa clades of Monkeypox virus (MPXV) using recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) assay targeting the G2R gene was developed.

Lumpy skin disease, an emerging transboundary viral disease: A review

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, 2021
Lumpy skin disease is an emerging bovine viral disease, which is endemic in most African countries and some Middle East ones, and the elevated risk of the spread of disease into the rest of Asia and Europe should be considered. The recent rapid spread of

Development of membrane protein‐based vaccine against lumpy skin disease virus (LSDV) using immunoinformatic tools

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 10, Issue 3, May 2024.
Following the retrieval of the Membrane glycoprotein of LSDV (Gene Bank ID: QIN91553.1), it was subjected to analysis for B‐ and T‐cell epitopes and other parameters. Subsequently, the construct for the 3D structure of the vaccine chimera was generated.

Laboratory characteristics of four strains of goatpox virus.

open access: yesActa virologica, 1980
Significant differences were found between four strains of goatpox virus isolated from goats in Egypt, Iraq, Iran and the U.S.S.R., namely in their growth behaviour in embryonated eggs, ceiling temperature, plaque characteristics in cell culture, heat resistance and in the degree of inhibition of their replication by actinomycin D and bromodeoxyuridine.
