Biotin fortification to sperm preparation medium enhances the motility and longevity by reducing lipid peroxidation in cryopreserved sperm

open access: yesIndian Journal of Animal Sciences, 2022
Biotin supplementation to the sperm cryopreservation medium appears to be beneficial in enhancing the in vitro sperm survival without affecting the fertilizing ability.

A Cre‐dependent lentiviral vector for neuron subtype‐specific expression of large proteins

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We designed a versatile and modular lentivector comprising a Cre‐dependent switch and self‐cleaving 2A peptide and tested it for co‐expression of GFP and a 2.8 kb gene of interest (GOI) in mouse cortical parvalbumin (PV+) interneurons and midbrain dopamine (TH+) neurons.

Changes in milk and plasma progesterone and pregnancy-associated glycoprotein and their relationships with the foetal number during early pregnancy in Jakhrana goats

open access: yesIndian Journal of Animal Sciences, 2021
This study was designed to investigate milk and circulating profiles of progesterone (P4) and pregnancy-associated glycoprotein (PAG) during early pregnancy and to determine their associations with the foetal numbers in Jakhrana goats.

The IQ‐compete assay for measuring mitochondrial protein import efficiencies in living yeast cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The efficiency of mitochondrial protein import depends on the properties of the newly synthesized precursor proteins. The Import and de‐Quenching Competition (IQ‐compete) assay is a novel method to monitor the import efficiency of different proteins by fluorescence in living yeast cells.

Dose‐dependent induction of epithelial‐mesenchymal transition in 3D melanoma models by non‐thermal plasma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Non‐thermal plasma treatment of melanoma cells induced epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in a dose‐dependent fashion. This report highlights the critical need to further investigate potential adverse effects of non‐thermal plasma for cancer therapy and to optimize treatment parameters for clinical translation. Despite the promising results of non‐
