Pyridylidene ligand facilitates gold-catalyzed oxidative C–H arylation of heterocycles
Triaryl-2-pyridylidene effectively facilitates the gold-catalyzed oxidative C–H arylation of heteroarenes with arylsilanes as a unique electron-donating ligand on gold.

Formation of Gold(III) Alkyls from Gold Alkoxide Complexes [PDF]
The gold(III) methoxide complex (C∧N∧C)AuOMe (1) reacts with tris(p-tolyl)phosphine in benzene at room temperature under O abstraction to give the methylgold product (C∧N∧C)AuMe (2) together with O=P(p-tol)3 ((C∧N∧C) = [2,6-(C6H3t Bu-4)2pyridine]2-). Calculations show that this reaction is energetically favorable (ΔG = -32.3 kcal mol-1).

A “gold standard” computational proof for the existence of gold(
“Gold standard” calculations for gold(iii) interactions: a stabilizing interaction between the gold(iii) atoms of molecule [AuIII(CH3)3(NH3)]2 is found at the CCSD(T)/def2-TZVP level of theory.

Biologically‐Active Gold(III) Complexes [PDF]
A review is given of the background to and results of the succesful pharmacological testing of [AuX2(damp)] (X = Cl, OAc; damp = 2 − Me2NCH2C6H4) against a range of microbes, fungi and tumouts, culminating in in vivo xenografts of ZR‐1‐75. These are the first fully evaluated gold(III) complexes.
