SARS-CoV-2 T Cell Response in Severe and Fatal COVID-19 in Primary Antibody Deficiency Patients Without Specific Humoral Immunity [PDF]
Morbidity and mortality of COVID-19 is increased in patients with inborn errors of immunity (IEI). Age and comorbidities and also impaired type I interferon immunity were identified as relevant risk factors.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Lessons Learned From a Delayed‐Start Trial of Modafinil for Freezing of Gait in Parkinson's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Freezing of gait (FOG) in people with Parkinson's disease (PwPD) is debilitating and has limited treatments. Modafinil modulates beta/gamma band activity in the pedunculopontine nucleus (PPN), like PPN deep brain stimulation. We therefore tested the hypothesis that Modafinil would improve FOG in PwPD.

Characteristics of Good's Syndrome in China: A Systematic Review
Background: Good's syndrome (GS) is a rare disease characterized by thymoma, hypogammaglobulinemia, low or absent B-cells, decreased T-cells, an inverted CD4+/CD8+ T-cell ratio and reduced T-cell mitogen proliferative responses.

Patterns of Postictal Abnormalities in Relation to Status Epilepticus in Adults
ABSTRACT Objective Abnormalities on peri‐ictal diffusion‐weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DWI‐PMAs) are well‐established for patients with status epilepticus (SE), but knowledge on patterns of DWI‐PMAs and their prognostic impact is sparse. Methods This systematic review and individual participant data meta‐analysis included observational studies ...

Humoral Immunity in Bronchiectasis: Finding Good’s Syndrome
We present a case of a 37-year-old man with a past history of a surgically removed thymoma, who presented with recurrent pulmonary infections and bronchiectasis. On further testing, he was found to have low total immunoglobulin levels, a constellation of

ABSTRACT Background SOX1 antibody‐positive paraneoplastic neurological syndromes (PNS) exhibit significant population‐specific clinical heterogeneity. While Western cohorts predominantly manifest Lambert‐Eaton myasthenic syndrome (65%–80%), comprehensive clinical characterization and treatment response data in Asian populations remain critically ...
