Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Noncrossed Product Matrix Subrings and Ideals of Graded Rings
We show that if a groupoid graded ring has a certain nonzero ideal property and the principal component of the ring is commutative, then the intersection of a nonzero twosided ideal of the ring with the commutant of the principal component of the ring is

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

On Lie rings of torsion groups
We prove that the Lie ring associated to the lower central series of a finitely generated residually-p torsion group is graded nil.

Simplicial and dimension groups with group action and their realization
We define simplicial and dimension $\Gamma$-groups, the generalizations of simplicial and dimension groups to the case when these groups have an action of an arbitrary group $\Gamma.$ We generalize classic results which correspond to the case when ...

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

Properties of ϕ-Primal Graded Ideals
Let R be a commutative graded ring with unity 1≠0. A proper graded ideal of R is a graded ideal I of R such that I≠R. Let ϕ:I(R)→I(R)∪{∅} be any function, where I(R) denotes the set of all proper graded ideals of R.

Let $ $ be a cancelation monoid with the neutral element $e$. Consider a $ $-graded ring $A=\oplus_{ \in }A_ $, which is not necessarily commutative. It is proved that $A_e$, the degree-$e$ part of $A$, is a local ring in the classical sense if and only if the graded two-sided ideal $\mathfrak{M}$ of $A$ generated by all non-invertible homogeneous
