THE ABUNDANCE OF HELIUM AND STELLAR PULSATION
Radial gradient of relative amplitude of the light variation FV for galactic classical Cepheids is found. The gradient has different signs for two cases: P > 8d and P < 8d. For P > 8d the gradient is negative.

Measuring the time/frequency dependence of diffusion MRI is a promising approach to distinguish between the effects of different tissue microenvironments, such as membrane restriction, tissue heterogeneity, and compartmental water exchange. In this study,

Macroscopic limit of the Becker-D\"oring equation via gradient flows
This work considers gradient structures for the Becker-D\"oring equation and its macroscopic limits. The result of Niethammer [17] is extended to prove the convergence not only for solutions of the Becker-D\"oring equation towards the Lifshitz-Slyozov ...

Observation of a New Mechanism of Spontaneous Generation of Magnetic Flux in a Superconductor
We report the discovery of a new mechanism of spontaneous generation of a magnetic flux in a superconductor cooled through $T_c$. The sign of the spontaneous flux changes randomly from one cooldown to the next, and follows a Gaussian distribution.

Dynamical Systems Approach of Internal Length in Fractional Calculus
Conventionally, non-local properties are included in the constitutive equations in the form of strain gradient-dependent terms. In case of the second gradient dependence an internal material length can be obtained from the critical eigenmodes in ...

On the corotation torque in a radiatively inefficient disk
We consider the angular momentum exchange at the corotation resonance between a two-dimensional gaseous disk and a uniformly rotating external potential, assuming that the disk flow is adiabatic.

Calcium Gradient Dependent Pyrophosphate Formation by Sarcoplasmic Vesicles
Abstract Pyrophosphate Synthesis, Sarcoplasmic Reticulum, Calcium Accumulation The vesicles of the sarcoplasmic membranes synthesize pyrophosphate from inorganic phosphate. Pyrophosphate synthesis proceeds as long as a calcium gradient is maintained across the vesicular membranes.

Metallicity gradients: Mass dependency in dwarf elliptical galaxies [PDF]
AbstractThe formation and evolution of galaxies is imprinted on their stellar population radial gradients. Two recent articles present conflicting results concerning the mass dependence of the metallicity gradients for early‐type dwarf galaxies. On one side, Spolaor et al.

Stellar populations in gas-rich galaxy mergers II. Feedback effects of Type Ia and II supernovae [PDF]
We numerically investigate chemodynamical evolution of major disk-disk galaxy mergers in order to explore the origin of mass-dependent chemical, photometric, and spectroscopic properties observed in elliptical galaxies.

The temperature dependence of gradient system response characteristics [PDF]
PurposeThe gradient system transfer function (GSTF) characterizes the frequency transfer behavior of a dynamic gradient system and can be used to correct non‐Cartesian k‐space trajectories. This study analyzes the impact of the gradient coil temperature of a 3T scanner on the GSTF.MethodsGSTF self‐ and B0‐cross‐terms were acquired for a 3T Siemens ...
