Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Derivation and characterization of retinal pigment epithelium from urine‐derived iPSCs
Age‐related macular degeneration causes vision loss via RPE dysfunction and loss. Traditional iPSC therapies rely on invasive biopsies, limiting scalability. Here, we utilize urine‐derived stem cells as an accessible source to generate u‐iPSCs, successfully differentiated into pigmented RPE. This “Urine‐to‐Retina” platform provides a promising path for

Wetting Effects at a Grain Boundary
We consider a tier of weakened bonds along the center line of a two-dimensional Ising ferromagnet strip as a model of a grain boundary. When an interface traverses such a strip at an angle, whether or not there is a continuous pinning-depinning transition at subcritical temperature depends on this angle and the degree of bond weakening.

Digital Cognitive Phenotyping for Differential Diagnosis and Monitoring in Neurological Conditions
ABSTRACT Objective To assess the utility, accessibility, and equivalence to supervised scales of online cognitive assessment in older individuals with cognitive impairment. Methods Patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD, n = 31), idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH, n = 26), and traumatic brain injury (TBI, n = 23) completed online cognitive ...

Safety and Efficacy of GLP‐1 Receptor Agonists in Adults With Epilepsy, Obesity, and Type 2 Diabetes
ABSTRACT Objective Managing obesity in patients with epilepsy is complicated by the weight‐gaining properties of essential antiseizure medications (ASMs) such as valproate and pregabalin. We evaluated the safety and efficacy of initiating glucagon‐like peptide‐1 receptor agonists (GLP‐1 RAs) in this population.

Grain boundaries in semiconductors
This review presents the available experimental and theoretical understanding on the structure and electronic properties of grain boundaries in semiconducting materials. High-resolution electron microscope images of interfaces are interpreted within the framework of the structural unit model of grain boundaries, and the electronic properties of the ...
