Nanomaterials in the Management of Gram-Negative Bacterial Infections [PDF]

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2021
The exploration of multiplexed bacterial virulence factors is a major problem in the early stages of Escherichia coli infection therapy. Traditional methods for detecting Escherichia coli (E.

Sepsis patients with first and second-hit infections show different outcomes depending on the causative organism [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2016
Objective. With improving rates of initial survival in severe sepsis, second-hit infections that occur following resolution of the primary insult carry an increasing burden of morbidity.

Gram Negative Wound Infection in Hospitalised Adult Burn Patients-Systematic Review and Metanalysis- [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
BACKGROUND: Gram negative infection is a major determinant of morbidity and survival. Traditional teaching suggests that burn wound infections in different centres are caused by differing sets of causative organisms.

Netilmicin in Gram-Negative Bacterial Infections [PDF]

open access: yesAntimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, 1979
Netilmicin, a new semisynthetic aminoglycoside, was used in the treatment of 42 patients with serious gram-negative bacterial infections. Of the 40 evaluable patients, 24 (60%) were cured, and 8 (20%) had a favorable clinical response, for a total clinical response rate of 80%.

Treatment of Multi-Drug Resistant Gram-Negative Bacterial Pathogenic Infections

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Microbiology, 2020
The multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria (MDR-GNB) infections in severely infected patients present numerous difficulties in terms of treatment failure where antibiotics cannot arrest such drug resistant bacteria.

A host-directed macrocyclic peptide therapeutic for MDR gram negative bacterial infections

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
The emergence of infections by carbapenem resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) pathogens has created an urgent public health threat, as carbapenems are among the drugs of last resort for infections caused by a growing fraction of multi-drug resistant (MDR)
