Impact of In Vitro Long-Term Low-Level DEHP Exposure on Gene Expression Profile in Human Granulosa Cells

open access: yesCells, 2022
Here, we applied a model of long-term exposure of human granulosa cells to low environmentally relevant levels of di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP). This approach provides more relevant data regarding the impact of DEHP on the function of human granulosa

Does BPA alter steroid hormone synthesis in human granulosa cells in vitro?

open access: yesHuman Reproduction, 2016
STUDY QUESTION Does Bisphenol A (BPA) impair steroid hormone production in human luteinized granulosa cells in vitro? SUMMARY ANSWER At supra-physiological concentrations, BPA alters progesterone and estradiol synthesis in vitro and significantly ...

LRRC4 Deficiency Drives Premature Ovarian Insufficiency by Disrupting Metabolic Homeostasis in Granulosa Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
LRRC4 deficiency disrupts the metabolic homeostasis of mitochondrial aerobic respiration and glycolysis during GC differentiation by inhibiting the ubiquitination‐mediated degradation of YAP, which ultimately leads to POI. These findings reveal the novel molecular etiology of POI and provide a promising target for prevention and treatment.

Lipopolysaccharide alters CEBPβ signaling and reduces estradiol production in bovine granulosa cells

open access: yesCABI Agriculture and Bioscience, 2022
Background Bacterial infection of the uterus in postpartum dairy cows limits ovarian follicle growth, reduces blood estradiol concentrations, and leads to accumulation of bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in ovarian follicular fluid.

Iron-overloaded follicular fluid increases the risk of endometriosis-related infertility by triggering granulosa cell ferroptosis and oocyte dysmaturity

open access: yesCell Death and Disease, 2022
Endometriosis (EMs) occurs in approximately 50% of women with infertility. The main causes of EMs-related infertility are follicle dysplasia and reduced oocyte quality.

RSPO2 Coordinates with GDF9:BMP15 Heterodimers to Promote Granulosa Cell and Oocyte Development in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RSPO2 and GDF9:BMP15 heterodimers—core components of oocyte‐secreted factors (OSFs)—coordinate to shape the molecular architecture of preantral granulosa cells via gene‐specific synergistic and antagonistic regulation, mediated through CTNNB1–SMAD2 signaling crosstalk.

HOX cofactors expression and regulation in the human ovary

open access: yesReproductive Biology and Endocrinology, 2008
Background HOX cofactors enhance HOX binding affinities and specificities and increase HOX's unique functional activities. The expression and the regulation of HOX cofactors in human ovaries are unknown.

Local Regeneration of Cortisol by 11β-HSD1 Contributes to Insulin Resistance of the Granulosa Cells in PCOS.

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, 2016
CONTEXT Insulin resistance (IR) of the granulosa cells may account for the ovarian dysfunctions observed in polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). The underlying mechanism remains largely unresolved. OBJECTIVE The objective of the study was to investigate
