Occurrence of viruses and Xiphinema spp. in vineyards of the greek islands of Paros and Lemnos

open access: yesPhytopathologia Mediterranea, 2001
A survey was carried out during 1997–2000 in order to determine the incidence of grapevine viruses and their associated nematode-vectors in Paros and Lemnos, the two main islands of the Aegean sea producing V.Q.P.R.D. wines.

Multiple interspecies recombination events within RNA2 of Grapevine fanleaf virus and Arabis mosaic virus [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Sequence alignments and SISCAN analyses inferred multiple interspecies recombination events within RNA2 of strains GHu of Grapevine fanleaf virus (GFLV) and Ta of Arabis mosaic virus (ArMV), two closely related subgroup A nepoviruses in the family ...

The Disordered Region of ASXL1 Acts as an Auto‐Regulator Through Condensation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ASXL1's long IDR encodes an electrostatic “basic platform + acidic brake” that autoregulates condensation. Truncation at a clinical hotspot lifts this brake, forming condensates that retarget BRD2, remodel local chromatin accessibility, and impair neutrophil maturation.

Raspberry bushy dwarf virus – a Grapevine Pathogen in Serbia [PDF]

open access: yesPesticidi i Fitomedicina, 2011
During a field survey in 2005 in vineyards and grapevine nurseries at localities in central Serbia, a few plants with unusual virus-like symptoms were observed. Leaf samples were analyzed by DAS-ELISA for the presence of nine viruses.

Farnesyltransferase Deficiency in Cardiomyocytes Initiates Senescence and Contributes to Cardiac Fibrosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipid overload suppresses SREBF2‐mediated FNTB expression, leading to defective Lamin A maturation and nuclear envelope instability. This nuclear catastrophe triggers a pro‐fibrotic senescence program in cardiomyocytes. Notably, restoring nuclear integrity via AAV9‐based gene therapy effectively attenuates cardiac remodeling, identifying the ...

A Lung‐Immune Dual‐Humanized Mouse Using Cryopreserved Tissue Enables Infection and Immune Profiling of Human Common Cold Coronaviruses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cryopreserved lung‐humanized mice overcome the dependency to fresh tissues and permit head‐to‐head profiling of all four human common cold coronaviruses versus SARS‐CoV‐2 infection; the model validates Paxlovid efficacy against HKU1 and, when coupled with human immune‐system engraftment, enables interrogation of lung‐resident human immunity and HKU1 ...

Microglial Fkbp5 Impairs Post‐Stroke Vascular Integrity and Regeneration by Promoting Yap1‐Mediated Glycolysis and Oxidative Phosphorylation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A post‐stroke perivascular niche of microglia characterized by low expression of M2 markers and elevated glycolysis, oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS), and phagocytic activity is identified, which is termed stroke‐activated vascular‐associated microglia (stroke‐VAM).

Study of main grapevine viruses transmission in breeding programs

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences, 2016
A number of studies have established that vertical transmission of viruses is an important phenomenon affecting a wide range of viruses, especially as a result of breeding programs.

Host range and properties of grapevine fanleaf and grapevine yellow mosaic viruses

open access: yesAnnals of Applied Biology, 1963
SUMMARYSap‐transmissible viruses were obtained from grapevines affected by fanleaf, yellow mosaic, distorting mosaic, witches' broom or fasciation diseases. Virus isolates from American, Australian, French and Portuguese grapevines did not differ with country of origin but those from any one country varied in virulence.
