Graph Pattern Matching: From Intractable to Polynomial Time

open access: yes, 2010
Graph pattern matching is typically defined in terms of sub-graph isomorphism, which makes it an np-complete problem. Moreover, it requires bijective functions, which are often too restrictive to characterize patterns in emerging applications. We propose

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Distributed Graph Simulation: Impossibility and Possibility

open access: yes, 2014
This paper studies fundamental problems for distributed graph simulation. Given a pattern query Q and a graph G that is fragmented and distributed, a graph simulation algorithm A is to compute the matches Q(G) of Q in G.

Graph Database for Collaborative Communities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Data manipulated in an enterprise context are structured data as well as unstructured data such as emails, documents, and social networks. Graphs are a natural way of representing and modeling such data (structured, semistructured, and unstructured ones)

SPG: Structure-Private Graph Database via SqueezePIR

open access: yes, 2023
Many relational data in our daily life are represented as graphs, making graph application an important workload. Because of the large scale of graph datasets, moving graph data to the cloud becomes a popular option.

Development of human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 by yeast display

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 are generated by yeast display‐guided selection. These antibodies bind to soluble and cell‐surface forms of TARM1. Also, these antibodies exhibit agonistic activity in the NFAT‐GFP reporter assay, indicating that TARM1 signaling can be functionally modulated by antibodies and suggesting TARM1 as a potential ...

Node Classification of Network Threats Leveraging Graph-Based Characterizations Using Memgraph

open access: yesComputers
This research leverages Memgraph, an open-source graph database, to analyze graph-based network data and apply Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) for a detailed classification of cyberattack tactics categorized by the MITRE ATT&CK framework.

Identifying gene expression signatures for risk stratification of postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy in colorectal cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A novel signature integrating genome‐wide analysis with clinical factors predicts recurrence in stage II colorectal cancer and enables a new risk stratification to guide postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy. Clinical risk stratification for postoperative recurrence in patients with pathological stage II (pStage II) colorectal cancer (CRC) is essential ...

Temporal Graph Analysis using Gradoop

open access: yes, 2019
The temporal analysis of evolving graphs is an important requirement in many domains but hardly supported in current graph database and graph processing systems.

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.
