Gunrock: GPU Graph Analytics

open access: yes, 2017
For large-scale graph analytics on the GPU, the irregularity of data access and control flow, and the complexity of programming GPUs, have presented two significant challenges to developing a programmable high-performance graph library.

Optimizing navigational graph queries

open access: yesThe VLDB Journal
Abstract We study the optimization of navigational graph queries in the form of the Regular Queries, i.e., queries which combine recursive and pattern-matching fragments. Current approaches to their evaluation are not effective in practice.

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

An Improved Pedestrian Ttracking Method Based on Wi-Fi Fingerprinting and Pedestrian Dead Reckoning

open access: yesSensors, 2020
Wi-Fi based positioning has great potential for use in indoor environments because Wi-Fi signals are near-ubiquitous in many indoor environments. With a Reference Fingerprint Map (RFM), fingerprint matching can be adopted for positioning.

Joint Cuts and Matching of Partitions in One Graph

open access: yes, 2017
As two fundamental problems, graph cuts and graph matching have been investigated over decades, resulting in vast literature in these two topics respectively. However the way of jointly applying and solving graph cuts and matching receives few attention.

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Visual-Based Position Estimation for Underwater Vehicles Using Tightly Coupled Hybrid Constrained Approach

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
A tightly coupled hybrid monocular visual SLAM system for unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) is introduced in this paper. Specifically, we propose a robust three-step hybrid tracking strategy.

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

A Graph Optimization-Based Indoor Map Construction Method via Crowdsourcing

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Indoor mapping is an essential element of indoor navigation systems. In this paper, we present a graph optimization-based method for indoor map construction, which can be used in buildings without prior knowledge.

Efficient Continuous-Time SLAM for 3D Lidar-Based Online Mapping

open access: yes, 2018
Modern 3D laser-range scanners have a high data rate, making online simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) computationally challenging. Recursive state estimation techniques are efficient but commit to a state estimate immediately after a new scan ...
