Exact charged black-hole solutions in D-dimensional f(T) gravity: torsion vs curvature analysis [PDF]
We extract exact charged black-hole solutions with flat transverse sections in the framework of D-dimensional Maxwell-f(T) gravity, and we analyze the singularities and horizons based on both torsion and curvature invariants.

Time dependent hydraulic falls and trapped waves over submerged obstructions [PDF]
We consider the classical problem of a free surface flowing past one or more disturbances in a channel. The fluid is assumed to be inviscid and incompressible, and the flow, irrotational.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Why gravity is not an entropic force [PDF]
The remarkable connections between gravity and thermodynamics seem to imply that gravity is not fundamental but emergent, and in particular, as Verlinde suggested, gravity is probably an entropic force.

The generalized second law of thermodynamics in generalized gravity theories
We investigate the generalized second law of thermodynamics (GSL) in generalized theories of gravity. We examine the total entropy evolution with time including the horizon entropy, the non-equilibrium entropy production, and the entropy of all matter ...

Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

The information metric on the moduli space of instantons with global symmetries
In this note we revisit Hitchin's prescription [1] of the Fisher metric as a natural measure on the moduli space of instantons that encodes the space–time symmetries of a classical field theory. Motivated by the idea of the moduli space of supersymmetric

Quantum Gravity: Has Spacetime Quantum Properties? [PDF]
The incompatibility between GR and QM is generally seen as a sufficient motivation for the development of a theory of Quantum Gravity. If - so a typical argumentation - QM gives a universally valid basis for the description of all natural systems, then ...

A New Property of the Electromagnetic/Yang-Mills-Conformal Gravity System in Spherical Symmetry
We find a new property in $W^2$-conformal gravity in spherical symmetry. We demonstrate that the charge of the electromagnetic field varies with respect to the partial scaling symmetry (conformal transformations in subspaces of a spacetime) in the ...

We study the inhomogeneous cosmological evolution of the Newtonian gravitational 'constant' G in the framework of scalar-tensor theories. We investigate the differences that arise between the evolution of G in the background universes and in local inhomogeneities that have separated out from the global expansion. Exact inhomogeneous solutions are found
