Comprehensive mining method of group drawing and automated drawing during longwall top coal caving

open access: yesInternational Journal of Coal Science & Technology
To address issues such as inefficient top-coal drawing, challenges in simultaneously mining and drawing, and the need for intelligent control in extra-thick coal seams, this study examines the principles of top-coal drawing and explores automation and ...

REMOTE-SENSING METHODS OF INDICATOR ESTIMATIONS OF GARDENING TERRITORIES PLACED BY MINING INDUSTRY WASTE [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Today across the world there are huge areas that are occupied by badlands left after intensive mining. Breeding dumps, sludge dumps, places of storage of ash and slag often represent a biological desert, which is difficult to remediate.

Degradable Magnetic Composites from Recycled NdFeB Magnets for Soft Actuation and Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a degradable soft magnetic composite made from recycled NdFeB particles embedded in a gelatin‐based organogel. The material is processed into magnetic sensors and soft robotic components, which can later be dissolved in a green solvent to recover NdFeB magnetic particles.

Improving recovery in sublevel top coal caving mining by using partially reverse drawing technique

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mining Science and Technology
The sublevel top coal caving (SLTCC) mining technology is extensively employed in steeply inclined thick coal seams. Because of the typical characteristics of the short coal face in this mining method, a significant portion of the top coal is lost at the

Auditory–Tactile Congruence for Synthesis of Adaptive Pain Expressions in RoboPatients

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
In this work, we explore auditory–tactile congruence for synthesizing adaptive vocal pain expressions in robopatients. Using a robopatient platform that integrates vocal pain sounds with palpation forces, we conducted 7680 trials across 20 participants.

Profiling Green Consumers with Data Mining

open access: yes, 2020
Concern about the environment has led to a new segment of consumers called green consumers. Because not all the consumers are equally green, using target marketing for persuading them to buy green product is essential. The first step in target marketing strategy is to segment the market and then develop profiles of the resulting market segments.

Marburg Virus Glycoprotein Is a Remarkable Virulent Factor Linked to Hemorrhagic Pathology: Evidence from Multimodal Experimental Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By integrating data from in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models, our research identifies the MARV glycoprotein as a remarkable hemorrhagic factor, filling a major gap in this important field. It also provides practical experimental tools for the basic research on viral pathogenesis and applied research aimed at antiviral intervention for hemorrhagic ...

Engineering Osteoimmune Responses with Functionalized Orthopedic Implants for Post‐Operative Osteosarcoma Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Osteosarcoma is the most common primary bone tumor with limited treatment options and a terrible prognosis. This review provides a comprehensive summary of the recent development of osteoimmunomodulatory implants for post‐operative osteosarcoma treatment, of which the potential utility in evoking durable anti‐osteosarcoma immunity and accelerating bone
