Greenhouse gases emissions and global climate change: Examining the influence of CO2, CH4, and N2O.
Science of the Total EnvironmentAn in-depth analysis of the role of greenhouse gases (GHGs) in climate change is examined here along with their diverse sources, including the combustion of fossil fuels, agriculture, and industrial processes.

Large greenhouse gases emissions from China's lakes and reservoirs.
Water Research, 2018Freshwaters are important sources of greenhouse gases (GHGs) to the atmosphere that may partially offset the terrestrial carbon sink. However, current emission estimates from inland waters remain uncertain due to data paucity in key regions with a large ...

Methane, CH4 is a more powerful greenhouse gas than CO2 but its concentration is much less. It is produced by anaerobic bacteria. These occur in bogs and rice paddies, but also in the intestines of ruminant animals (cattle) and termites. Before oxygen appeared in Earth’s atmosphere methane may have been the most important greenhouse gas.

Impact of greenhouse gases on surface coal mining in Brazil
Journal of Cleaner Production, 2018This paper presents the first inventory and environmental impact study of the life cycle of coal obtained from a surface mine in Brazil. Significant reserves of coal in Brazil have attracted the attention of investors interested in building chemical and ...
