Ground-state pump-probe spectroscopy
Journal of Experimental and Theoretical Physics, 2007The absorption/gain spectrum of a weak probe field is theoretically analyzed for an atomic three-level Λ system driven by a strong pump field and perturbed by collisions with buffer-gas atoms. It is assumed that both pump and probe drive the same transition. When the dark state is sufficiently long lived, the probe spectrum exhibits an extremely narrow

Spectroscopy of the ground and low-lying excited states of ThO+
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2006The ThO+ cation is of interest as it is a useful prototype for experimental and theoretical studies of bonding in a simple actinide compound. Formally the ground state of ThO+ has the configuration Th3+(7s)O2−, where there is a single unpaired electron associated with a closed-shell Th4+-ion core.

Ground Based FTS and Infrared Array Spectroscopy
Fourier Transform Spectroscopy, 2022In 1978 Kitt Peak National Observatory introduced a FTS of 1.8 m maximum path difference as a facility instrument for night-time astronomy at the 4 meter telescope. This instrument was decommissioned in 1995, after having recorded tens of thousands of spectra. This FTS is described by Hall et al. (1979).

The Spectroscopy of 198O11 and the 187N11 Ground State
Australian Journal of Physics, 1983The spectroscopies of 190 and 21 Ne (both eleven-neutron systems) are compared. The 1-+ [211 iJ, t+ [220il and t- [lOttl bands are observed in both nuclei. On the basis of these similarities 190 is assumed to be a prolate rotor like 21 Ne. If then the recently studied IBN ground state is also considered to be a deformed system (a one-proton hole in the

Stimulated emission spectroscopy of the ground state of Na3
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1989The vibronic level spectrum of the ground state of the alkali trimer Na3 has been observed via stimulated emission spectroscopy of a supercooled metal cluster beam. Results reported herein use the C state as an intermediate, and reveal strong transitions to combinations of the symmetric stretch and bending modes, along with highly detailed fine ...

Spectroscopy of the ionic ground state of monohalogenated benzenes
The Journal of Physical Chemistry, 1991The authors present multiphoton ionization photoelectron (PE) spectra of monofluoro-, chloro-, and -bromobenzene. The population of the vibrational levels in the cation after one-color, two-photon ionization via various vibronic intermediate states of the neutral molecule has been investigated.

Laser spectroscopy of NiO: The 3Σ− ground state
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1988The results of the first rotational analysis of NiO are reported. Several bands in the green spectra region were resolved and analyzed using laser induced fluorescence (LIF). It was found that the symmetry of the well behaved ground electronic state is 3Σ− as was predicted by ab initio calculations.

Detailed ground- and excited-state spectroscopy of indirect free excitons

Characterization of the ground state dynamics of proteorhodopsin by NMR and optical spectroscopies
Journal of Biomolecular NMR, 2012We characterized the dynamics of proteorhodopsin (PR), solubilized in diC7PC, a detergent micelle, by liquid-state NMR spectroscopy at T = 323 K. Insights into the dynamics of PR at different time scales could be obtained and dynamic hot spots could be identified at distinct, functionally relevant regions of the protein, including the BC loop, the EF ...

The ground electronic state of KCs studied by Fourier transform spectroscopy
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2008We present here the first analysis of laser induced fluorescence (LIF) of the KCs molecule obtaining highly accurate data and perform a direct potential construction for the XΣ+1 ground state in a wide range of internuclear distances. KCs molecules were produced by heating a mixture of K and Cs metals in a heat pipe at a temperature of about 270°C. KCs
