Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Ground state solutions for a quasilinear Kirchhoff type equation
We study the ground state solutions of the following quasilinear Kirchhoff type equation \[ -\left(1+b\int_{\mathbb{R}^{3}}|\nabla u|^2dx\right)\Delta u + V(x)u-[\Delta(u^2)]u=|u|^{10}u+\mu |u|^{p-1}u,\qquad x\in \mathbb{R}^3, \] where $b\geq 0$ and $\mu$

Zero-point fluctuations in the ground state of a mesoscopic normal ring
We investigate the persistent current of a ring with an in-line quantum dot capacitively coupled to an external circuit. Of special interest is the magnitude of the persistent current as a function of the external impedance in the zero temperature limit ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Stability of 3D black hole with torsion
Using $N=1+1$ supersymmetric extension of the three-dimensional gravity with torsion, we show that a generic black hole has no exact supersymmetries, the extremal black hole has only one, while the zero-energy black hole has two.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
