The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Ground state solutions for a quasilinear Kirchhoff type equation

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2016
We study the ground state solutions of the following quasilinear Kirchhoff type equation \[ -\left(1+b\int_{\mathbb{R}^{3}}|\nabla u|^2dx\right)\Delta u + V(x)u-[\Delta(u^2)]u=|u|^{10}u+\mu |u|^{p-1}u,\qquad x\in \mathbb{R}^3, \] where $b\geq 0$ and $\mu$

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Eigenlevel statistics of the quantum adiabatic algorithm

open access: yes, 2005
We study the eigenlevel spectrum of quantum adiabatic algorithm for 3-satisfiability problem, focusing on single-solution instances. The properties of the ground state and the associated gap, crucial for determining the running time of the algorithm, are

Ground state solutions for Schrödinger-Born-Infeld equations

open access: yesMatemática Contemporânea, 2022
Summary: In this note we revise the arguments used to find ground states solutions for an elliptic system which envolves the Schrödinger equation coupled with the electrostatic equation of the Born-Infeld electromagnetic theory. The main difficulties are related to the second equation of the system which is nonlinear.

In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Minimal mass blow-up solutions for the $L^2$ critical NLS with inverse-square potential

open access: yes, 2018
We study minimal mass blow-up solutions of the focusing $L^2$ critical nonlinear Schr\"odinger equation with inverse-square potential, \[ i\partial_t u + \Delta u + \frac{c}{|x|^2}u+|u|^{\frac{4}{N}}u = 0, \] with $N\geqslant 3$ and ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...
