Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

In this article we prove the existence of ground state solutions for the quasilinear Schrodinger equation $$ -\Delta u+V(x)u-\Delta (u^2)u= g(u), \quad x\in \mathbb{R}^N, $$ where $N\ge 3$, $V\in \mathcal{C}^1(\mathbb{R}^N, [0, \infty))$ satisfies ...

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Antiferromagnetic sawtooth chain with Heisenberg and Ising bonds
The sawtooth chain with pairs of S=1/2 spins interacting with XXZ-interactions placed on each second tooth is considered. All other interaction bonds are taken to be of Ising type.

The process of internalization of the Shiga toxin A subunit via formation of a complex with the Shiga toxin B subunit, which specifically binds to the Gb3 receptor. The peptide is designed to act as a carrier of drugs into cancer cells. Here, we explored the potential of peptides derived from the catalytic A subunit of Shiga toxin (STxA) to be drug ...

In this paper, we investigate the following N-Laplacian Kirchhoff–Choquard-type equation involving the critical exponential growth nonlinearity of Trudinger–Moser-type: −1+b∫ℝN|∇u|NdxΔNu+V(x)|u|N−2u=(|x|−μ∗F(x,u))f(x,u),x∈ℝN,N≥2,u∈W1,N(ℝN), where ...

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...
