Ground state solutions for a fractional Schrödinger equation with critical growth [PDF]
In this paper we investigate the existence of nontrivial ground state solutions for the following fractional scalar field equation [Formula: see text] where [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] is the fractional Laplacian, [Formula: see text] is a bounded potential satisfying suitable assumptions, and [Formula: see text] has ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Ground-state energies of the open and closed p + ip-pairing models from the Bethe Ansatz
Using the exact Bethe Ansatz solution, we investigate methods for calculating the ground-state energy for the p+ip-pairing Hamiltonian. We first consider the Hamiltonian isolated from its environment (closed model) through two forms of Bethe Ansatz ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Asymptotic behavior of ground state solution for Henon type systems
In this article, we investigate the asymptotic behavior of positive ground state solutions, as $alphaoinfty$, for the following Henon type system $$ -Delta u=frac{2p}{p+q}|x|^alpha u^{p-1}v^q,quad -Delta v=frac{2q}{p+q}|x|^alpha u^pv^{q-1},quad hbox{

Nonlinear dynamics as a ground-state solution on quantum computers
For the solution of time-dependent nonlinear differential equations, we present variational quantum algorithms (VQAs) that encode both space and time in qubit registers.

The Brezis–Nirenberg Problem for the Hénon Equation: Ground State Solutions [PDF]
Abstract This work is devoted to the Dirichlet problem for the equation −Δu = λu + |x|α|u| 2*−2 u in the unit ball of ℝ N . We assume that λ is bigger than the first eigenvalues of the laplacian, and we prove that there exists a ...

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Ground-state energy of a Richardson-Gaudin integrable BCS model
We investigate the ground-state energy of a Richardson-Gaudin integrable BCS model, generalizing the closed and open p+ip models. The Hamiltonian supports a family of mutually commuting conserved operators satisfying quadratic relations.
