TRIANGULAR MATRIX REPRESENTATIONS OF SKEW MONOID RINGS

open access: yes, 2010
Let R be a ring and S a u.p.-monoid. Assume that there is a monoid homomorphism α : S → Aut (R). Suppose that α is weakly rigid and lR(Ra) is pure as a left ideal of R for every element a ∈ R.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Hydrostructural and dynamic characteristics of compacted Nanning red clay considering wetting-drying impacts

open access: yesScientific Reports
Lateritic soils, also known as red soils, are prone to actions of external environment such as wetting and drying processes and their cycling. However, in the practice of pavement design in red soil regions, there lacks experimental studies and ...

A commutative version of the group ring

open access: yes
We construct a commutative version of the group ring and show that it allows one to translate questions about the normal generation of groups into questions about the generation of ideals in commutative rings.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

On Orbits of the Ring Zmn under Action of the Group SL(m, Zn)

open access: yesActa Polytechnica, 2005
We consider the action of the finite matrix group SL(m,Zn ) on the ring Zmn. We determine orbits of this action for n arbitrary natural number. It is a generalization of the task which was studied by A. A. Kirillov for m = 2 and n prime number.

Detecting underdetermination in parameterized quantum circuits

open access: yesMachine Learning: Science and Technology
A central question in machine learning is how reliable the predictions of a trained model are. Reliability includes the identification of instances for which a model is likely not to be trusted based on an analysis of the learning system itself.

On the centroid of Heisenberg Lie algebra

open access: yes四川大学学报. 自然科学版, 2023
Heisenberg Lie algebra belongs to a class of solvable Lie algebra. It has a deep physical background and thus is an important object of Lie algebra study.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.
