Deltacoronavirus Modulates circRNA cGLIS3 Metabolism to Evade Host Antiviral Response

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that both deltacoronavirus nucleocapsid protein and host RNA binding protein IGF2BP2 promote circular RNA GLIS3 (cGLIS3) biogenesis by binding to GLIS3 pre‐mRNA. The m6A modification‐mediated cGLIS3‐IGF2BP2 interaction weakens RNase L‐mediated degradation of cGLIS3 while facilitates a ubiquitin‐dependent degradation of IGF2BP2, thus ...

Pyruvate kinase directly generates GTP in glycolysis, supporting growth and contributing to guanosine toxicity

open access: yesmBio
Guanosine triphosphate (GTP) is essential for macromolecular biosynthesis, and its intracellular levels are tightly regulated in bacteria. Loss of the alarmone (p)ppGpp disrupts GTP regulation in Bacillus subtilis, causing cell death in the presence of ...

Loss of SHP1 in Spinal Astrocytes Triggers T‐Lymphocyte Infiltration and Nociceptive Hypersensitivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Astrocyte‐specific SHP1 deletion disrupts astrocyte–vascular interactions and compromises BBB integrity while enhancing STAT1‐dependent CXCL10 expression. These changes synergistically promote peripheral CD4+ and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration into the SDH. The infiltrating T cells secrete IFN‐γ, which in turn activates microglia.

Dysregulation of the MACF1‐Rab14/KIF16B‐FGFR Vesicular Trafficking Axis Skews MSC Lineage Commitment in Glucocorticoid‐Induced Osteoporosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Under normal conditions, MACF1 interacts with Rab14 and facilitates KIF16B‐mediated FGFR vesicle trafficking along microtubules to the plasma membrane, thereby supporting BMSC differentiation. In contrast, chronic GC exposure suppresses MACF1 expression, disrupting this transport and causing intracellular FGFR retention, which blunts osteogenic ...

Solunsisäisen GTP-konsentraation määrittäminen [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Guanosiinitrifosfaatti on yksi solujen keskeisistä energiamolekyyleistä. Sillä on tärkeä rooli solun toimintojen säätelyssä esimerkiksi G-proteiinien aktivoinnissa ja signaalien välityksessä.

A Small‐Molecule DEPTAC Rescues Cognitive Deficits by Targeted Dephosphorylation of Pathological Tau

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TP2 is a fully synthetic small‐molecule dephosphorylation‐targeting chimera that recruits endogenous PP2A‐Bα to Tau, enabling targeted removal of pathological phosphate modifications. In two tauopathy mouse models, systemic TP2 reduces Tau pathology, preserves neuronal and synaptic integrity, improves neuroimmune homeostasis, and rescues cognition ...

Substrate binding disrupts dimerization and induces nucleotide exchange of the chloroplast GTPase Toc33

open access: yes, 2011
GTPases act as molecular switches to control many cellular processes, including signalling, protein translation and targeting. Switch activity can be regulated by external effector proteins or intrinsic properties, such as dimerization.

The coordination of cell growth during fission yeast mating requires Ras1-GTP hydrolysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The spatial and temporal control of polarity is fundamental to the survival of all organisms. Cells define their polarity using highly conserved mechanisms that frequently rely upon the action of small GTPases, such as Ras and Cdc42.
