The T2238C human atrial natriuretic peptide molecular variant and the risk of cardiovascular diseases [PDF]
Atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) is a cardiac hormone which plays important functions to maintain cardio-renal homeostasis. The peptide structure is highly conserved among species. However, a few gene variants are known to fall within the human ANP gene.

Exocytosis from permeabilized bovine adrenal chromaffin cells is differently modulated by guanosine 5'-[gamma-thio]triphosphate and guanosine 5'-[beta gamma-imido]triphosphate [PDF]
1. In bovine adrenal chromaffin cells made permeable either to molecules less than or equal to 3 kDa with alphatoxin or to proteins less than or equal to 150 kDa with streptolysin O, the GTP analogues guanosine 5'-[beta gamma-imido]triphosphate (p[NH]ppG)

Effects of Guanosine Tetraphosphate, Guanosine Pentaphosphate, and β-γ Methylenyl-Guanosine Pentaphosphate on Gene Expression of Escherichia coli In Vitro [PDF]
The effects of guanosine tetraphosphate (ppGpp) and guanosine pentaphosphate (pppGpp), both produced by E. coli , were measured on the activities of several genes in a cell-free system. Gene activity is measured as gene-directed synthesis of biochemically competent protein or transfer RNA.

Conformation, hydrogen bonding and aggregate formation of guanosine 5′-monophosphate and guanosine in dimethylsulfoxide [PDF]
The tetrabutylammonium salt of guanosine 5'-monophosphate (5'-GMP) dissolves in DMSO-d6 forming aggregated species which exhibit some properties of reverse micelles. 1H NOESY experiments show that the 5'-GMP adopts the syn conformation about the glycosidic bond.
