Guaranteed cost control for networked control systems
Journal of Control Theory and Applications, 2004Summary: The guaranteed cost control problem for networked control systems (NCSs) is addressed under communication constraints and varying sampling rate. First of all, a simple information-scheduling scheme is presented to describe the scheduling approach of system signals in NCSs.

This chapter considers so called guaranteed cost controls (GCC) which stabilize the closed-loop systems and guarantee some upper bounds of given costs, where control structures are given a priori in feedback forms of single state and input delays. These guaranteed cost controls are in between non-optimal stabilizing controls of previous chapters and ...

Quantized guaranteed cost control for wireless networked control system
Proceedings of the 48h IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC) held jointly with 2009 28th Chinese Control Conference, 2009A new discrete system model is constructed for the wireless networked control system based on IEEE 802.11b. The model incorporates the network-induced delay, the packet dropout from IEEE802.11b protocol criteria and logarithmic quantization. Guaranteed cost control problem is further addressed for the wireless networked control systems.

Guaranteed Cost Control Problem
2011In the previous chapter, we presented different results that can be used to deal with nominal and uncertain systems and also with systems that are subject to external disturbances. LMI conditions were developed to design controller to achieve the desired goal.

An LPV approach to the guaranteed cost control for Lur'e systems
Proceedings of the 2010 American Control Conference, 2010In this paper, we consider the guaranteed cost control problem of Lur'e systems which are represented by linear parameter varying (LPV) systems. Sector bounds and slope bounds are employed to a augmented Lyapunov functional through convex representation of the nonlinearities so that new less conservative conditions are obtained.

Reliable guaranteed cost control for uncertain nonlinear systems
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2000Summary: This paper is concerned with the reliable control design problem for uncertain nonlinear systems. A more practical model of actuator failures than outage is adopted. Based on the Hamilton-Jacobi inequality approach from nonlinear \(H_\infty\) control theory, a method for designing reliable state feedback controllers is presented. The resulting

Guaranteed cost control for uncertain stochastic multimodeling systems
2009 European Control Conference (ECC), 2009The guaranteed cost control problem for stochastic multimodeling systems with norm bounded uncertainty is investigated. The main contribution in this paper is that a new parameter independent controller is derived by solving the reduced-order slow and fast stochastic algebraic Riccati equations (SAREs) whose dimension is smaller than the dimension of ...

Guaranteed Cost Control for Singularly Perturbed Uncertain Systems
Sixth International Conference on Intelligent Systems Design and Applications, 2006This paper studies the guaranteed cost control for singularly perturbed uncertain systems. The system is decomposed into slow and fast sub-systems. The uncertainties in the fast subsystem are transferred to the composite control gain and are considered as the controller gain perturbations.

Guaranteed cost control of quadratic time-delay systems
2017 11th Asian Control Conference (ASCC), 2017This paper deals with the problem of regional guaranteed cost control design for, possibly open-loop unstable, nonlinear quadratic systems with a delayed state. Control methods based on the Razumikhin and Lyapunov-Krasovskii stability theorems are developed for designing static nonlinear quadratic state feedback controllers that achieve delay ...

Optimal guaranteed cost control of a biomimetic robot arm
2012 4th IEEE RAS & EMBS International Conference on Biomedical Robotics and Biomechatronics (BioRob), 2012In this paper, an optimal control problem for uncertain bilinear systems is formulated via a guaranteed cost approach and then applied to the design of a stabilizing controller for a robot arm actuated by Pneumatic Artificial Muscles (PAMs). The results show that the contributed methodology is suitable for efficiently designing control systems which ...
