Robotics for Crop Pollination: Recent Advances and Future Direction

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT There is great interest in alternative pollination strategies for crop production in the face of climate change and perennial threats to the traditional pollination mechanisms. This review explores the potential of robotic pollination as a promising solution to these challenges affecting crop fertilization, agricultural sustainability, and ...

Effects of Roscovitine and Serum Starvation on the Viability and G0/G1 Synchronization in Somatic Cells from the Antillean Manatee (Trichechus manatus manatus, Linnaeus 1758)

open access: yesZoo Biology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The success of nuclear reprogramming techniques, including the G0/G1 synchronization of somatic cells, depends on species‐specific optimization. While roscovitine and serum starvation have been successfully applied in domestic and wild terrestrial mammals, their use in aquatic mammals remains poorly investigated.

ε-Poly-l-lysine Suppressed Decay Development and Maintained Storage Quality in Guava Fruit by ROS Level Regulation and Antioxidant Ability Enhancement

open access: yesAgriculture
Guava fruit is susceptible to decay, leading to losses in storability and quality. ε-Poly-l-lysine (ε-PL) is a safe antimicrobial polypeptide that has proven to be effective in preserving produce’s quality.

Beyond Bia Hơi? Distinction and Aspiration in Hanoi's Craft Beer Scene

open access: yesAsia Pacific Viewpoint, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this article we examine the emergence of Hanoi's craft beer scene as a window into shifting class identities, aspirational consumption, and local–global negotiations in contemporary Vietnam. We bring together Bourdieu's theorisation of taste as symbolic capital with Appadurai's concept of aspiration to analyse how consumption practices ...

Targeted Photo‐Induced Elimination of Tumor‐Associated Macrophages Suppresses Cancer Progression in a Murine Model

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates the selective depletion of tumor‐associated macrophages (TAMs) by targeting CSF1R through near‐infrared photoimmunotherapy (NIR‐PIT). Using a combination of anti‐CSF1R Fab‐IR700 conjugates and localized light irradiation, we achieved tumor suppression and durable antitumor immunity without systemic toxicity.

Evaluating Whole Fruit Feijoa Powder for Type 2 Diabetes Risk Prevention: A Randomised Controlled Trial

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Low energy diets (LEDs) are effective for body weight (BW) loss and improvement of type 2 diabetes (T2D) risk biomarkers. Emerging evidence suggests that whole fruit feijoa powder, rich in polyphenols and abscisic acid, may further support T2D prevention.

Bait Response and Fruit‐Associated Abundance Patterns of Two Introduced Zaprionus Species in Tropical Orchards

open access: yesJournal of Applied Entomology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Fruit‐associated drosophilids are expanding in fruit‐growing landscapes, but field information on bait response and fruit‐associated occurrence remains limited for recently introduced species. We evaluated Zaprionus indianus Gupta and Zaprionus tuberculatus Malloch (Diptera: Drosophilidae) in homestead orchards of the Agreste region of Paraíba,

Elevated B‐vitamins within a temperate estuary: Strong spatiotemporal dynamics and links to microbial plankton communities

open access: yesLimnology and Oceanography, Volume 71, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract B‐vitamins are organic cofactors required by prokaryotic and eukaryotic planktonic cells; their availability impacts aquatic microbial communities and associated biogeochemistry. Despite their ecological importance, B‐vitamin dynamics and their relationships to plankton composition in estuaries are unclear, limiting our understanding of ...
