Daily‐Life, Sensor‐Derived Tremor Measures Are Sensitive to Progression in Early Parkinson's Disease
Objective Sensitive outcome measures are critical for evaluating the efficacy of novel treatments for Parkinson's disease (PD). In this study, we assess the sensitivity to change of sensor‐derived daily‐life tremor measures over 2 years in unmedicated and medicated persons with early PD.

The design, simulation and fabrication of microengineered silicon gyroscopes [PDF]
This thesis is concerned with the development of a low cost resonant gyroscope, or rate of turn sensor, which is capable of being mass produced. The history and theory of the resonant gyroscope is reviewed, and then a survey of resonant gyroscope ...

Microresonator Brillouin Gyroscope [PDF]
Using counter-propagating Brillouin lasers in a high-Q chip-based resonator, rotation measurement with a sensitivity of 15 degree/hour/ Hz is demonstrated. This is close to navigation grade performance and surpasses prior micro-optical systems by 40X.

Recent Advances in Stimulated Brillouin Scattering in Integrated Photonics
This review systematically surveys recent advances in stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) within integrated photonics. It begins by elucidating the fundamental mechanisms of stimulated coupling between photons and acoustic phonons in nanoscale waveguides, enhanced by the photoelastic and moving boundary effects.

Robust Single Image Deblurring Using Gyroscope Sensor
Motion blur in an image is caused by the movement of the camera during exposure time; thus, awareness of the camera motion is a key factor in image deblurring algorithms.

Abstract Basking sharks, Cetorhinus maximus (Gunnerus, Brugden [Squalus maximus], Det Kongelige Norske Videnskabers Selskabs Skrifter, 1765, vol. 3, pp. 33–49), feed by gaping their mouths and gill slits, greatly reorienting their cranial skeletons to filter food from water.

Demo 07-11 Gyroscope with Adjustable Weights [PDF]
A small gyroscope is balanced by a weight whose radius can be adjusted, as shown in Figure 1. When the spinning gyroscope is balanced no precession occurs. If the weight is repositioned along the arm, unbalancing the system, the gyroscope will precess.

Gyroscope‐based control and stabilization of unmanned aerial mini‐vehicle (mini‐UAV)
This work discusses the use of a mini gyroscope with three degrees of freedom to control or remote control an unmanned aerial mini‐vehicle (mini‐UAV). The gyroscope determines the reference system for the navigation of the UAV.
