Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).

Tolerogenic effect of noninherited maternal antigens in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2012
Major histocompatibility complex antigens that provoke severe transplant reactions are referred to as the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) in human and as the H-2 in mice.

Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.

Evidence for Horizontal Transmission and Recirculation of Shiga Toxin-Producing Escherichia coli in the Beef Production Chain in South Africa Using Whole Genome Sequencing

open access: yesPathogens
We used whole genome sequencing (WGS) as an epidemiologic surveillance tool to elucidate the transmission dynamics of Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) strains along the beef production chain in South Africa.

Transcriptional profiling of innate immune responses in sheep PBMCs induced by Haemonchus contortus soluble extracts

open access: yesParasites & Vectors, 2019
Background Pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) can recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns and activate downstream signalling pathways, resulting in modulation of host immunity against pathogens.

Vaccinia-specific cytotoxic T-cell responses in the context of H-2 antigens not encountered in thymus may reflect aberrant recognition of a virus-H-2 complex

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Medicine, 1979
BALB/c (H-2Kd-Dd) spleen and lymph node populations were specifically depleted of alloreactive potential by filtration through H-2 different, irradiated recipients.

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

Quantitative variations in the expression of H-2 antigens on murine leukemia virus-induced tumor cells can affect the H-2 restriction patterns of tumor-specific cytolytic T lymphocytes

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Medicine, 1981
Comparative quantitative experiments were designed to study the expression of H-2Kd and H-2Dd antigens on three different leukemia cell lines induced by Gross murine leukemia virus (MuLV)in BALB/c (H-2d) mice.

H-2 antigenicity of Leydig cells.

open access: yesFolia biologica, 1981
Partial absorption of oligospecific reagents by the particulate membrane fraction prepared from isolated interstitial cells grown in culture (the harvested cell population contained about 80% Leydig cells)suggests that membranes of Leydig cells carry antigenic specificities H-2K (11,25) and H-2D (4) but not antigens controlled by the I region.
