Hard diffraction in hadron-hadron interactions and in photoproduction [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 1995
Hard single diffractive processes are studied within the framework of the triple--Pomeron approximation. Using a Pomeron structure function motivated by Regge--theory we obtain parton distribution functions which do not obey momentum sum rule. Based on Regge-- factorization cross sections for hard diffraction are calculated.

Feasibility to measure the properties of identified charged hadrons in collisions of xenon nuclei with a fixed tungsten target at an energy of 2.5A GeV in the MPD detector at the NICA collider

open access: yesSt. Petersburg Polytechnical University Journal: Physics and Mathematics
We report results on a feasibility study of measuring the properties of identified charged light hadrons (π± and K± mesons as well as protons) in collisions of Xe nuclei with a fixed tungsten target at an energy of 2.5A GeV using the MPD detector at the ...

Parity violation in neutron capture on the proton: Determining the weak pion–nucleon coupling

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2015
We investigate the parity-violating analyzing power in neutron capture on the proton at thermal energies in the framework of chiral effective field theory.

Flavor-changing decay h → τ μ at super hadron colliders

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We study the flavor-changing decay h → τ μ with τ = τ − +τ + and μ = μ − +μ + of a Higgs boson at future hadron colliders, namely: a) High Luminosity Large Hadron Collider, b) High Energy Large Hadron Collider and c) Future hadron-hadron Circular ...

Probing charmonium-like XYZ states in hadron–hadron ultraperipheral collisions and electron–proton scattering

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2021
Exclusive production of charmonium-like XYZ states in hadron–hadron ultraperipheral collisions (UPCs) and electron–proton scattering are studied employing the effective Lagrangian method. Total cross sections and rapidity distributions of charmonium-like

Model for the Hadrons [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 1969
A particle spectrum in the low-mass region is obtained from the spin structure of the dominant Regge exchange. Since we work in the low-energy region, diffraction is negligible and resonances dominate the scattering.(1) Our calculational procedure exploits the fact that the dominant Regge exchange forces certain helicity amplitudes to vanish in the ...

Study of the pd→→n{pp}s charge-exchange reaction using a polarised deuterium target

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2015
The vector and tensor analysing powers, Ay and Ayy, of the pd→→n{pp}s charge-exchange reaction have been measured at a beam energy of 600 MeV at the COSY-ANKE facility by using an unpolarised proton beam incident on an internal storage cell target filled

A Review of the Australian MRI Linac Program: From Pie in the Sky to Research Milestone

open access: yesJournal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Australian Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Linear Accelerator program (MRI linac) was a major research project that aimed to build and test a unique MRI linac prototype for cancer treatment. It aimed to improve radiotherapy anatomical targeting and explore physiological targeting. The purpose of this report is to summarise the development
