ABSTRACT To enhance clinicians' understanding of Sifrim‐Hitz‐Weiss syndrome (SIHIWES), this study investigated the clinical phenotypes, genetic characteristics, and response to growth hormone therapy in a patient. A case of a patient with global developmental delay and distinctive facial features is presented.

ABSTRACT Noonan syndrome (NS) is a genetically heterogeneous disorder characterized by a broad spectrum of clinical features resulting from dysregulation of the RAS/MAPK pathway. Although complex genotypes are increasingly recognized in NS, cases harboring two distinct pathogenic variants in different NS genes remain extremely rare.

During embryonic development presumptive hair follicle cells of epithelial and mesenchymal origin are determined in defined body locations. This is followed by rapid proliferation of epithelial cells and associated penetration into the dermis in response to as yet undetermined signals.

Based on a dermis fibroblast Gorab knockout mouse model, this study revealed that Gorab deficiency promotes skin aging by influencing RCHY1, causing a decrease in P53 ubiquitination, damaging the activity of HDAC2, further resulting in the accumulation of aging‐related proteins (P53, P21, P16) and a reduction in extracellular matrix (ECM) components ...

Fgf21 Deficiency Delays Hair Follicle Cycling and Modulates miRNA–Target Gene Interactions in Mice
Fibroblast growth factor 21 (Fgf21) is a key regulator of hair follicle development and cycling. Although microRNAs (miRNAs) are involved in this process, the specific mechanisms through which Fgf21 regulates hair follicle growth remain unclear.

An elastic segment was found in the basal part of the whisker shaft in rats and mice. Application of force to the whisker bulb of isolated follicles caused bending and twisting of this segment. Active whisker movements deform this segment, causing whisker shaft deflection and selective activation of mechanoreceptors at different phases of whisking ...
