Production of Ginsenosides in Ginseng Hairy Root Cultures
2020Ginseng is a herbaceous plant belonging to the Araliaceae family. Chemical and pharmacological studies of ginseng have confirmed that there are 10 or more ginseng saponins, including the ginsenosides Ra, Rb1, Rb2, Rb3, Rc and Rd which contain protopanaxadiol as the sapogenin, and Re, Rf, Rg1, Rg2, Rh1 and Rh2 which contain protopanaxatriol.
