Urban Bats: City Lovers or Refugees?
Hypothetical relationship between urbanisation intensity and bat species population persistence framed through a species refuge concept. Moderately urbanised landscapes may function as temporal refuge zones where habitat heterogeneity and establishment suitability allow some bat species to colonise and persist.
