Determination of the energy transitions and half-lives of Rubidium nuclei

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2018
The photonuclear reactions, first extensively studied in the 1970’s and performed using the gamma rays obtained via bremsstrahlung, are a standard nuclear physics experiment.

Influence of cations on foaming characteristics and interfacial properties of sodium dodecyl sulfate

open access: yes矿业科学学报, 2018
Metal cations are one of the important factors affecting the performance of anionic foaming agent. In this paper, based on the different metal cations with sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) solution system, the influence of cations on foaming characteristics and

Non-covalent albumin-binding ligands for extending the circulating half-life of small biotherapeutics.

open access: yesMedChemComm, 2019
Peptides and small protein scaffolds are gaining increasing interest as therapeutics. Similarly to full-length antibodies, they can bind a target with a high binding affinity and specificity while remaining small enough to diffuse into tissues.

Search for beta plus/EC double beta decay of 120Te [PDF]

open access: yesAstropart.Phys.34:643-648,2011, 2010
We present a search for beta plus/EC double beta decay of 120Te performed with the CUORICINO experiment, an array of TeO2 cryogenic bolometers. After collecting 0.0573 kg y of 120Te, we see no evidence of a signal and therefore set the following limits on the half-life: T1/2 (0nu) > 1.9 10^{21} y at 90% C.L. for the 0 neutrino mode and T1/2 (2nu) > 7.6

Measurement of the half-life of 198Au in a non-metal: High-precision measurement shows no host-material dependence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We have measured the half-life of the beta decay of 198Au to be 2.6948(9) d, with the nuclide sited in an insulating environment. Comparing this result with the half-life we measured previously with a metallic environment, we find the half-lives in both ...

Effect of Render Resolution on Gameplay Experience, Performance, and Simulator Sickness in Virtual Reality Games [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
Higher resolution is one of the main directions and drivers in the development of virtual reality (VR) head-mounted displays (HMDs). However, given its associated higher cost, it is important to determine the benefits of having higher resolution on user experience. For non-VR games, higher resolution is often thought to lead to a better experience, but

Development of a Novel Scaffold of Chitosan, Type IV Collagen and Integrin α3β1 As Alternative Scaffold for Primary Culture of Podocytes

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
Loss of podocytes has been a main pathology present in renal diseases; the leak of these specialized cells increases the permeability of the glomerular basal membrane (GMB) and protein release affecting the glomeruli, the main structure of the kidney ...

Light-based tuning of ligand half-life supports kinetic proofreading model of T cell signaling

open access: yeseLife, 2019
T cells are thought to discriminate self from foreign peptides by converting small differences in ligand binding half-life into large changes in cell signaling. Such a kinetic proofreading model has been difficult to test directly, as existing methods of

Human FcRn Tissue Expression Profile and Half-Life in PBMCs

open access: yesBiomolecules, 2019
System-wide quantitative characterization of human neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) properties is critical for understanding and predicting human PK (pharmacokinetics) as well as the distribution of mAbs and Fc-fusion proteins using PBPK (physiologically ...
