Fc Sialylation Prolongs Serum Half-Life of Therapeutic Antibodies

open access: yesJournal of Immunology, 2019
The long serum t1/2 of IgGs is ensured by their interaction with the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn), which salvages IgG from intracellular degradation. Fc glycosylation is thought not to influence FcRn binding and IgG longevity in vivo.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 6, Page 1429-1452, June 2026.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 6, Page 1535-1555, June 2026.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Synthesis and optimization of gemcitabine-loaded nanoparticles by using Box–Behnken design for treating prostate cancer: In vitro characterization and in vivo pharmacokinetic study

open access: yesGreen Processing and Synthesis
Gemcitabine (GC)-loaded chitosan (CS) nanoparticles were synthesized using the ionic gelation method. CS solution was prepared in glacial acetic solution 1% v/v under magnetic stirring for 2 h at 60˚C. The pH of resulting CS solutions was adjusted to 5 ±

Comparison of Combined Dissipation Behaviors and Dietary Risk Assessments of Thiamethoxam, Bifenthrin, Dinotefuran, and Their Mixtures in Tea

open access: yesFoods
In the tea-planting process, insecticides are commonly combined, potentially prolonging the pre-harvest interval and heightening the risk of dietary exposure.

Defining extended half‐life rFVIII—A critical review of the evidence

open access: yesHaemophilia, 2018
Recent haemophilia treatment advances include new recombinant FVIII (rFVIII) products with improved pharmacokinetic (PK) properties that aim to reduce the burden of prophylaxis.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Forming cytoophidia prolongs the half-life of CTP synthase

open access: yesCell Discovery, 2019
Dear Editor, Intracellular compartmentation of biological processes is fundamental for a cell to function. One method is to form membrane-bound organelles, such as the mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum (ER), and lysosomes, which have been extensively ...
