Effect of oestrus synchronisation through ovulation delay by vaccination against foot‐and‐mouth disease in Hanwoo (Bos taurus coreanae) cows

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 9, Issue 2, Page 974-981, March 2023., 2023
The purpose of this study is to improve the fertility rate by ovulation delay caused by foot‐and‐mouth disease vaccination. We figure out that ovulation delay can be employed to improve conception rate after FMD vaccination through a modified ovulation synchronization method with 500 μg of GnRH administration.

Comparison of alternative approaches to single-trait genomic prediction using genotyped and non-genotyped Hanwoo beef cattle. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
BackgroundGenomic predictions from BayesA and BayesB use training data that include animals with both phenotypes and genotypes. Single-step methodologies allow additional information from non-genotyped relatives to be included in the analysis. The single-

The Difference in Subpopulation Structures in Sex‐Sorted and Non‐Sorted Semen by Discriminant Analysis of Bull Sperm Motility Data Collected by a Computer‐Assisted Sperm Analysis System

open access: yesAndrologia, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
We examined the motility characteristics of sperm from sex‐sorted bull semen as a model for low‐quality (expected low conception rate) sperm compared to that of sperm from non‐sorted semen (expected average conception rate) using cluster analysis followed by discriminant analysis.

Identification of the SNP (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism) for Fatty Acid Composition Associated with Beef Flavor-related FABP4 (Fatty Acid Binding Protein 4) in Korean Cattle [PDF]

open access: yesAsian-Australasian Journal of Animal Sciences, 2012
In this study, we investigated the relationship between unsaturated fatty acids influencing beef flavor and four types of SNPs (c.280A>G, c.388G>A, c.408G>C and c.456A>G) located at exon 2, 3 and 4 of the FABP4 gene, which is a fatty acid binding protein
