Genetic Diversity and Impacts of Stocking on Cyprinus carpio Populations in Türkiye: Insights From Mitochondrial, Nuclear, and Microsatellite Markers

open access: yesFisheries Management and Ecology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Understanding genetic diversity and population structure is essential for the sustainable management of widely stocked freshwater species such as common carp (Cyprinus carpio). In this study, we conducted a comprehensive genetic assessment of C.

Endemic but not eroded: Genomic distinctiveness and conservation genomics of the British swallowtail butterfly (Papilio machaon britannicus)

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, EarlyView.
Through whole‐genome sequencing of P. machaon populations across Europe, we demonstrate that P. m. britannicus forms a genetically distinct and isolated lineage. Demographic modelling revealed weak historical gene flow from the continent. Although P. m.

Genome‐wide identification of olfactory receptor and odorant‐binding protein gene families and their roles in Heliothine chemosensory evolution

open access: yesInsect Molecular Biology, EarlyView.
Genome‐wide systematic annotation identified 81 odorant receptors (ORs) and 49 odorant‐binding proteins (OBPs) in the tobacco budworm, Chloridea virescens. Phylogenetic analyses revealed chemosensory gene diversification in Heliothinae and extensive lineage‐specific duplications in C.

Bacteriomes, cryptic forms and evolution of a common wireworm pest species, Hypnoidus bicolor

open access: yesInsect Molecular Biology, EarlyView.
Wireworms are important agricultural pests, including Hypnoidus bicolor in the Canadian Prairies. Parthenogenetic and sexual populations of H. bicolor appear associated with different molecular clades. Bacterial community composition and structure were influenced by developmental stage, sampling location and host genetics.

Functional immune profiling reveals CD4+ T cell dysregulation in coeliac disease

open access: yesImmunology &Cell Biology, EarlyView.
The T cell momentum assay quantifies division, survival and activation decay to reveal intrinsic CD4+ programming defects marked by prolonged activation and impaired feedback control in coeliac disease. This scalable platform provides a functional screen for early T cell dysregulation across autoimmune and immune‐mediated diseases.

Ancestry Matters in Decoding Immunity

open access: yesImmunology &Cell Biology, EarlyView.
The Chinese Immune Multi‐Omics Atlas (CIMA) establishes a population‐scale immune multi‐omics atlas by profiling over 10 million peripheral blood mononuclear cells from 428 Chinese adults using paired scRNA‐seq and scATAC‐seq. This resource mitigates longstanding European ancestry bias in single‐cell genomics and enables cell type resolved regulatory ...

Cerebrospinal fluid orexin testing in Australians with narcolepsy type 1

open access: yesInternal Medicine Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract A clinical diagnosis of narcolepsy type 1 can be challenging, particularly in relation to cataplexy. Despite its specificity, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) orexin testing is under‐utilised in Australasia. We describe the use of CSF orexin testing in 15 clinically indicated patients from two sleep centres, highlighting its utility in the ...
