Concentration of plasma haptoglobin and symptomatic cerebral vasospasm after subarachnoid hemorrhage
The relation of plasma haptoglobin concentration to symptomatic cerebral vasospasm (SCVS) after subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) was investigated. The plasma concentration of haptoglobin was analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).

Combating ageing beyond the cell: Emerging roles of extracellular proteostasis
Ageing challenges the body's ability to maintain a stable and functional proteome, leading to protein damage and aggregation both inside and outside cells. This review focuses on the less well understood mechanisms of extracellular protein quality control and how they become disrupted in ageing, particularly in neurodegenerative diseases.

Turbidimetric Determination of Haptoglobin [PDF]
Summary: A specific, acurate and simple determination of haptoglobin is described with an antisemm against the antigenic determinants of the three haptoglobin phenotypes 1-1, 2-1 and 2-2.

Immunohistochemical Expression of Haptoglobin in Skin Lesions of Hidradenitis Suppurativa
Background: Meta-inflammation is a hallmark of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). Research on meta-inflammation in HS is growing, but there is still no research on haptoglobin as an inflammatory protein in lesional HS skin.

Tokom odgovora akutne faze, postoji poveć ana proizvodnja i oslobađanje određenih proteina, poznatih kao proteini akutne faze (APP), koje mogu proizvesti hepatociti i periferna tkiva. Proteini akutne faze su C-reaktivni protein (CRP), serumski amiloid A (

Haptoglobins and hemoglobin-haptoglobin complexes [PDF]
Haptoglobins are serum glycoproteins which form complexes with hemoglobin. Three phenotypes of haptoglobin exist in serum (Hp 1-1, Hp 2-1, Hp 2-2). The latter two types exist as a series of polymers while the former type exists as a homogeneous protein ...

Nucleated Red Blood Cells Secrete Haptoglobin to Induce Immunosuppressive Function in Monocytes
Nucleated red blood cells (NRBCs) are precursors of red blood cells (RBCs), but also possess variety of immunomodulatory effects. However, among the three types of NRBCs, the immunological effects of human CD45− NRBCs remain largely unknown.

Haptoglobin study in myasthenia gravis Estudo sobre a haptoglobina na miastenia grave
OBJECTIVE: A cross-sectional study of haptoglobin (Hp) in myasthenia gravis (MG) was designed, with the objective to identify its values and correlate them with different disease status.

Calcium oxalate monohydrate (COM) crystals cause changes in the secretion of 29 proteins from neutrophil‐like cells, including those involved in neutrophil immune activation and intracellular metabolic adaptation. The neutrophil secreted proteins (secretome) also inhibit calcium oxalate crystallisation and crystal growth, but promote crystal ...

REACTION OF HAPTOGLOBIN WITH ISOLATED HEMOGLOBIN CHAINS [PDF]
Isolated hemoglobin chain, namely α- or β-chain, with sulfhydryl groups masked with p-chloromercuribenzoate, and αβ dimer partly masked with p-chloromercuribenzoate were tested for their reactivity with haptoglobin.
