Mechanisms of tremor induction by harmine

European Journal of Pharmacology, 1974
Abstract Various agents known to modify cerebral serotoninergic, dopaminergic and cholinergic function were used to investigate the possible relationship between these transmitter systems and the induction and modulation of harmine tremor. The results indicate a non-involvement of cerebral cholinergic function and a possible involvement of cerebral ...

Effects of tremorine and harmine in the chick

European Journal of Pharmacology, 1967
Abstract Tremorine produced pronounced tremor, akinesia, hypothermia and parasympathetic effects in young chicks. Tremor was recorded quantitatively and the tremor response to tremorine was found to diminish with increasing age and with repeated dosage.
