We report the first experimental observation, to the best of our knowledge, of soliton molecules in a robust all polarization-maintaining (PM) mode-locked fiber laser with a nonreciprocal phase bias that results in a low self-starting threshold and ...

Rational Harmonic Mode-Locking of a Fiber Optical Parametric Oscillator at 30 GHz
We demonstrate rational harmonic mode-locking of a fiber optical parametric oscillator (FOPO) in which the parametric gain serves as an all-optical mode-locker.

Dynamical resonance locking in tidally interacting binary systems [PDF]
We examine the dynamics of resonance locking in detached, tidally interacting binary systems. In a resonance lock, a given stellar or planetary mode is trapped in a highly resonant state for an extended period of time, during which the spin and orbital ...

3D‐Printed Sulfur‐Derived Polymers With Controlled Architectures for Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries
Rheology‐guided formulation design for direct ink writing enables the fabrication of 3D sulfur copolymer cathodes with controlled architectures for lithium‐sulfur batteries. The printed electrodes exhibit multiscale porosity and high sulfur utilization, delivering enhanced electrochemical performance compared to conventional cast electrodes.

Bio‐Inspired Molecular Events in Poly(Ionic Liquids)
Originating from dipolar and polar inter‐ and intra‐chain interactions of the building blocks, the topologies and morphologies of poly(ionic liquids) (PIL) govern their nano‐ and micro‐processibility. Modulating the interactions of cation‐anion pairs with aliphatic dipolar components enables the tunability of properties, facilitated by “bottom‐up ...

Dispersion-Tuned Harmonically Mode-Locked Fiber-Optical Parametric Oscillator [PDF]
The stable operation of a high-repetition-rate dispersion-tuned harmonically mode-locked fiber-optical parametric oscillator (FOPO) is demonstrated for the first time to the best of our knowledge. The experimental results match well with the theory. By introducing large cavity dispersion, the round-trip delay can vary with wavelength.
