High-throughput NMR assessment of the tertiary structure of food allergens.
BackgroundIn vitro component-resolved diagnosis of food allergy requires purified allergens that have to meet high standards of quality. These include the authentication of their conformation, which is relevant for the recognition by specific IgE ...

Human IgE Antibodies Recognize the Vicilin and Alpha‐Hairpinin Domains of Peanut Allergen Ara h 1
The ɑ‐hairpinin of Ara h 1 contains a dominant epitope that is both frequently recognized and blocks a majority of the IgE against this domain. Including this region in tests may improve diagnosis of peanut allergy. The trimeric structure of the vicilin region explains the ability of Ara h 1 to induce anaphylaxis with a single antibody.

Hazelnut allergy : a double-bind, placebo-controlled food challenge multicenter, study
Background: Tree nuts are a common cause of food allergy in Europe. However, few studies deal with real food allergy to hazelnuts in subjects believed to be allergic to this food.

The External Exposome and Food Allergy: How Environmental Exposures Shape Disease Risk
ABSTRACT IgE‐mediated food allergy is a global health issue with rising prevalence that cannot be explained by genetic change alone, strongly suggesting that environmental exposures are a key driver. The external exposome encompasses several exposures that influence the developing immune system and modify food allergy risk.

Hazelnut allergy in children and adults: diagnosis and underlying mechanisms [PDF]
Hazelnut is a frequently consumed tree nut. This thesis shows that allergic symptoms to hazelnut are common but highly variable in severity, and they differ between children and adults.

The spectrum of allergic sensitization in mothers and their offspring was characterized at ages 1–5 years at an extract‐ and molecular level in a North American birth cohort. Fel d 1 was the primary sensitizer in mothers, followed by Phl p 1. Perennial allergen sensitization (Der f 1, Der p 1) was rare at age one but rose sharply by age five.

Lung‐Cardiovascular Interactions and Derangements in ARDS
This review proposes an anatomical near‐ and far‐field framework for lung‐cardiovascular interactions in ARDS. Grounded in pathological and biological studies, the evidence spans pulmonary vascular, right ventricular, and systemic endothelial derangements and reviews available evidence for targeted therapies.

Cor a 14 is one of the most vital allergens in hazelnuts. However, the features of intestinal metabolites and microbiota associated with Cor a 14-induced allergy remain unclear. In this study, we established a hazelnut Cor a 14-allergic BALB/c mice model,
