HBsAg TAŞIYICILARINDA VE HBsAg(-) KiŞiLERDE HDAg SERO PREVALANSI
Serum samples of 120 HBsAg ( +) asymptomatic carries and 120 sera from blood donors and health care personnel having neither HBsAg nor Anti-HBs were tested for the presence of HDAg. in the first group, 19 of the carries were HDAg positive (% 15.83). In the other group 2 health care personnel were HDAg positive (% 1.66).

Vertical transmission of hepatitis B infection that may occur during pregnancy at delivery-, in infancy, and early childhood has an important role in the development of chronic hepatitis B.
