Labelless impedance immunosensor based on polypyrrole-pyrolecarboxylic acid copolymer for hCG detection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In this work, a sensitive label-free impedimetric hCG-immunosensor was constructed by using a commercial screen-printing carbon ink electrode (namely Disposable Electrochemical Printed chip) as the basis.

Fosl2 Regulates FSH‐Dependent Follicle Maturation Through Feedback Amplification of FSH/FSHR Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies a FOSL2‐driven positive feedback loop that amplifies FSH/FSHR signaling. During FSH‐dependent follicle maturation, FSH induces Fosl2 expression via the cAMP‐PKA‐CREB cascade. FOSL2 in turn binds the promoters of Fshr and estrogen‐biosynthesis genes to enhance their transcription, thereby increasing Fshr mRNA level and amplifying ...

Investigation of factors influencing the immunogenicity of hCG as a potential cancer vaccine [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) and its β‐subunit (hCGβ) are tumour autocrine growth factors whose presence in the serum of cancer patients has been linked to poorer prognosis.

Natural Resistance to Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome in Estrildid Finches Reveals Macrophage GPR183 as a Potential Therapeutic Target

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ovarian macrophage depletion reverses OHSS resistance in estrildid finches and exacerbates OHSS symptoms in rats. Activating macrophage GPR183 alleviates OHSS by reducing pro‐inflammatory factors, increasing immunomodulatory molecules, remodeling CD44/SDC4‐mediated communication, and restoring immune homeostasis.

A Rare Case of Amelanotic Mucosal Malignant Melanoma of the Penis: First of Its Kind Case Report from India

open access: yesLibyan International Medical University Journal
Amelanotic mucosal malignant melanoma of the penis is extremely rare. To our knowledge, this is the first case from India. In the present case report, we have discussed the diagnostic challenges, treatment, and prognosis related with this rare condition.

Placental Site Trophoblastic Tumor Acquires Immune Functions by Incorporating Host Maternal Genes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PSTT cells, through cell fusion with B cells, incorporate abundant non‐inherited maternal genes that are detectable by DNIMA. These hybrid cells acquire immunotherapy‐resistant genetic changes and increase the expression of B cell‐derived immune‐related molecules such as Ig, HLA, LILRB, SIGLEC10, and so on, creating an immunotolerant environment around

Evaluation of Maternal Serum PAPP-A and hCG Levels at 10-14 Weeks of Gestation in Hyperemesis Gravidarum

open access: yes, 2020
Aim:The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between hyperemesis gravidarum and maternal serum pregnancy-associated plasma protein A (PAPP-A) and human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) levels.

NAD+ Metabolism Licenses Zygotic Genome Activation via PARP7‐Mediated ADP‐Ribosylation of UHRF1 in Mouse Early Embryos

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study uncovers a metabolic‐epigenetic axis licensing zygotic genome activation (ZGA) in mouse embryos. A developmental decline in NAD+ levels activates PARP7, which mono‐ADP‐ribosylates and stabilizes UHRF1. This modification promotes the establishment of permissive histone acetylation marks, thereby facilitating timely ZGA.
