Tierra de mujeres, Realidad silenciada de la ruralidad, memoria e identidad. Tierra de mujeres, Muted reality of rurality, memory and identity.10.20420/ElGuiniguada.2020.346

open access: yesEl Guiniguada, 2020

AN ACCURATE POSITION FOR HDF 850.1: THE BRIGHTEST SUBMILLIMETER SOURCE IN THE HUBBLE DEEP FIELD-NORTH [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We report a highly significant Submillimeter Array (SMA) detection of the prototypical submillimeter source HDF 850.1, which is the brightest submillimeter source in the Hubble Deep Field-North proper.

Droplet Electricity Generators With Maximized Energy Collection Zone Enabled by Aloe‐Inspired Midrib and Cuticle

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An Aloe‐pinspired droplet electricity generator (A‐DEG) overcomes the limited energy collection zone of conventional DEGs by guiding impact droplets through a channeling midrib and artificial cuticle. The channeling midrib induces uni‐directional droplet spreading, while the artificial cuticle on the midrib further reinforces this behavior through its ...

The Effect of Online Hemodiafiltration on Infections: Results from the CONvective TRAnsport STudy. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
Hemodialysis (HD) patients have a high risk of infections. The uremic milieu has a negative impact on several immune responses. Online hemodiafiltration (HDF) may reduce the risk of infections by ameliorating the uremic milieu through enhanced clearance ...

Radical‐Mediated, Substrate‐Independent Fabrication of Hybrid Solid–Hydrogel Materials With Tunable Crosslinking: An Initiator‐ and Crosslinker‐Free Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work introduces a substrate‐independent, reagent‐free plasma strategy that forms radical‐rich interlayers for covalent hydrogel attachment without initiators or crosslinkers. The long‐lived radicals drive in situ gelation, creating robust, cytocompatible hybrid solid–hydrogel constructs across diverse substrates.

NICMOS Imaging of DRGs in the HDF-S: A Relation between Star Formation and Size at z ~ 2.5 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We present deep, high angular-resolution HST NICMOS imaging in the Hubble Deep Field South (HDF-S), focusing on a subset of 14 distant red galaxies (DRGs) at z ~ 2.5 that have been preselected to have J - K > 2.3.

Atomically precise metal cluster enzymes for pathological tissue regeneration

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of atomically precise metal cluster enzymes (MCEs) for pathological tissue regeneration. Atomically precise MCEs can modulate biological processes, such as attenuation of inflammatory responses, eradication of bacterial pathogens, regulation of angiogenesis, and promotion of cell development.

Multiple Instances QoS Routing in RPL: Application to Smart Grids

open access: yesSensors, 2018
The Smart Grid (SG) aims to transform the current electric grid into a “smarter” network where the integration of renewable energy resources, energy efficiency and fault tolerance are the main benefits. This is done by interconnecting every energy source,

The FIR/Radio correlation of high redshift galaxies in the region of the HDF-N [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
The correlation between the far-infrared (FIR) and radio emission is well established for nearby star forming galaxies. Many applications, in particular the radio-to-submm spectral index redshift indicator, tacitly assume that the relation holds well ...

Addressing the Attitude Behaviour Perception Gap—Multimethod Sustainable Tourist Behaviour Evaluation

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Quantitative and perceptual studies have been used to define and model sustainable tourist behaviour in past years, but few studies have undertaken qualitative research of actual behaviour to delve deeper into understanding the different classifications of such behaviour. This research employed a three‐phase design, comprising a pretrip survey,
