Investigation of the surface electron mobility in liquid He4 and weak solutions of He3 in He4

The mobility of electrons localized near a liquid He4 surface has been investigated experimentally by different methods in the 0.1−1 °K temperature interval. The mobility increases according to a law close to T−1 as the temperature is lowered. The results obtained are in good agreement with available theoretical ideas.

A Pomeranchuk cell which is precooled and pressurized by a He4-cycling He3 - He4 dilution refrigerator

Abstract This paper deals with a special Pomeranchuk cooling device which is used in combination with a He 4 -cycling He 3 -He 4 dilution refrigerator at high pressures. The lowest temperature obtained was 1.1 mK.
