Coulomb effects in high energy He4He4 elastic scattering

Annals of Physics, 1970
Abstract In this note we extend the results of previous work (Ref. [1]) for high energy He 4 He 4 elastic scattering to include the Coulomb corrections. We find these corrections important around the diffractive minima.

Phenomenological He4-He4 potential and the properties of liquid helium (He4)

Czechoslovak Journal of Physics, 1970
The properties of liquid He4 whose particles are interacting among themselves through an equivalent two-body Gaussian potential are studied by using the Bogolubov method. It is shown that the value of the hard-core radius σ≦2·2 A°; the most probable values form*/m lie between 1·292 and 9 and that forΔ/k between 8 and 16 °K.

Dynamics of He4 droplets

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2001
Optimized variational calculations have been carried out for clusters of He4 between N=20 and N=1000 atoms. For small cluster sizes with less or equal to 112 particles, where comparisons with existing diffusion Monte Carlo results are possible, we find good agreement for the ground state energies and densities.

Cooperative amplification of Prussian blue as a signal indicator and functionalized metal-organic framework-based electrochemical biosensor for an ultrasensitive HE4 assay.

Biosensors & bioelectronics
Human epididymis protein 4 (HE4), a diagnostic biomarker of ovarian cancer, is crucial for monitoring the early stage of the disease. Hence, it is highly important to develop simple, inexpensive, and user-friendly biosensors for sensitive and ...

Prognostic value of HE4 in advanced-stage, high-grade serous ovarian cancer: Analysis of HE4 kinetics during NACT, predicting surgical outcome and recurrence in comparison to CA125.

Gynecologic Oncology
OBJECTIVES To assess the prognostic value of human epididymis protein 4 (HE4) kinetics during and after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) cycles compared with cancer antigen 125 (CA-125), in predicting the surgical outcomes of interval debulking surgery ...

P-Odd effects in the ?+He4 ? He4 + ?0 reaction

Soviet Physics Journal, 1978
P-Odd effects with the elastic photoinformation of neutral pions in He4 nuclei are due to the interference of the P-odd amplitude of weak interaction with the P-even amplitude of strong interaction, and originate only for polarized photons. It is shown that close to the reaction threshold P-odd effects should be small. The interference amplitude of the

A novel He3He4 dilution refrigerator with superfluid He4 circulation

Cryogenics, 1980
Abstract A novel dilution refrigerator system is proposed, which offers the potentiality of very high circulation rates. The design of this refrigerator is described and the construction and performance of a prototype are discussed. He4 is circulated by means of a multi-stage thermomechanical or fountain pump, which can build up high fountain ...

The scattering of He3 by He4

Nuclear Physics, 1964
Abstract Cross sections for the elastic scattering of He 3 by He 4 have been measured for incident He 3 energies in the range 2.5 ≦ E He 3 ≦ 5.7 MeV (lab system) using a Van de Graaff accelerator and a differentially pumped gas scattering chamber. Excitation functions were measured at centre-of-mass angles 54°44′, 63°27′, 73°57′, 90°2′, 104°38′
