Somatosensory temporal discrimination in essential tremor and isolated head and voice tremors
Movement Disorders, 2015AbstractThe aim of this study was to investigate the somatosensory temporal discrimination threshold in patients with essential tremor (sporadic and familial) and to evaluate whether somatosensory temporal discrimination threshold values differ depending on the body parts involved by tremor.

Yes/yes head tremor without appendicular tremor after bilateral cerebellar infarction
Journal of the Neurological Sciences, 1996We report a 67-year-old man who developed yes/yes head tremor without appendicular tremor six weeks after right occipital and bilateral cerebellar infarction. The tremor was resting-postural. Its activity increased with excitement, decreased either after ethanol, lateroflexion or rest and stopped at sleep.

Head tremor secondary to MS resolved with rituximab
Neurological Sciences, 2011We describe the case of a 33-year-old woman who presented with a 2-month history of worsening head tremor. The medical evaluation led to the new diagnosis of MS and the MRI of brain demonstrated prominently active disease. Intravenous rituximab was started according to the HERMES trial, and significant improvement was noted. She has received additional

Propranolol therapy for essential tremor of the head
Neurology, 1984The effect of propranolol on essential tremor affecting the head was studied in a placebo-controlled trial. Clinical tremor scores and tremor amplitude as measured by an accelerometer were significantly decreased for both head and hand tremor by 160-mg/d and 320-mg/d doses of propranolol. Placebo and 80 mg/d were without effect. In individual patients,

Propranolol for severe post‐head injury action tremor
Neurology, 1978Two children developed persistent, incapacitating, upper extremity tremor following severe head injury from bicycle-automobile collision accidents. Both responded well to treatment with the beta blocking agent, propranolol, improving motor control in school and self-care tasks.
