Isolated head tremor: A DAT-SPECT and somatosensory temporal discrimination study

open access: yesParkinsonism and Related Disorders, 2020

Intention tremor of the head in patients with essential tremor

Movement Disorders, 2006
AbstractPatients with essential tremor (ET) have kinetic arm tremor; this tremor can also have an intentional component. We are unaware of reports of intention tremor of the head in ET. Our aims were to describe, provide electrophysiological data and video documentation of, and estimate the prevalence of intention tremor of the head in our sample. Ten (

Distinct non‐motor features of essential tremor with head tremor patients

Acta Neurologica Scandinavica, 2020
There have been few comprehensive scale studies on the non-motor symptoms (NMS) of patients with essential tremor (ET) with head tremor (ETh) and those with ET without head tremor (ETol). We aimed to explore the motor symptoms and NMS of these two subgroups. We enrolled 199 patients with ET (125, ETol; 74 ETh) and 132 healthy controls.

Childhood Head Tremor

Journal of Child Neurology, 2000
We report here four children (three girls, one boy) with head tremor followed longitudinally, ages 15 months to 11 years, with follow-up over 1 to 8 years. Each demonstrated onset of head tremor between the ages of 5 and 10 months. In each case head tremor was characterized by a predominant "yes-yes" or "no-no" movement of the head.

Effects of zonisamide on isolated head tremor

European Journal of Neurology, 2008
Background and purpose:  The medical treatment available for patients with essential tremor (ET) is often inadequate. Furthermore, the efficacy of the medical treatments currently available for patients with ET of cranial nerve areas is less satisfactory than that of the medical treatments available for patients with ET involving the upper extremities.
