Unveiling unique protein and phosphorylation signatures in lung adenocarcinomas with and without ALK, EGFR, and KRAS genetic alterations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Proteomic and phosphoproteomic analyses were performed on lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) tumors with EGFR, KRAS, or EML4–ALK alterations and wild‐type cases. Distinct protein expression and phosphorylation patterns were identified, especially in EGFR‐mutated tumors. Key altered pathways included vesicle transport and RNA splicing.

Confidentiality and Access to Adolescent Health Care Services [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Pediatric Health Care, 2010
Adolescent birth rates in the United States declined steadily from the 1950s until 2005, but increased 3.5% in 2006. While multiple factors are at play in this reversal, the increases were largest in states with the most limited access to confidential adolescent health services and contraception (Child Trends Data Bank, 2007).

PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Single‐cell transcriptomics redefines focal neuroendocrine differentiation as a distinct prostate cancer pathology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell transcriptomics of prostate cancer patient‐derived xenografts reveals distinct features of neuroendocrine (NE) subtypes. Tumours with focal NE differentiation (NED) share transcriptional programmes with adenocarcinoma, differing from large and small cell neuroendocrine prostate cancer (NEPC). Our work defines the molecular landscape of NEPC,

INEQUALITIES OF POPULATION ACCESIBILITY TO HEALTH CARE SERVICES IN THE BOTOSANI COUNTY (ROMANIA)

open access: yesGeography, Environment, Sustainability, 2016
The population access to health care services is conditioned on the offer of medical services, which being unevenly distributed determines a limited access of the population, especially in rural areas.
