Flexible Wide Bandgap Electrode System for In situ Cell Sensing and Irreversible Electroporation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The paper reports the design and wafer‐level microfabrication of a long‐lived, flexible 3C‐SiC electrode capable of sensitive and in situ cell sensing, as well as electroporation ablation. The work demonstrates a biocompatible and durable electrode platform that can perform reliable electrical interfacing with biological tissues over extended periods ...

Physical modification of starch by heat-moisture treatment and annealing and their applications: A review

Carbohydrate Polymers, 2021
Heat-moisture treatment (HMT) and annealing are hydrothermal starch modifications. HMT is performed using high temperature and low moisture content range, whereas annealing uses excess of water, a long period of time, and temperature above the glass transition and below the gelatinization temperature.

Effects of heat moisture treatment on the physicochemical properties of starch nanoparticles

Carbohydrate Polymers, 2015
In this study, the effect of heat moisture treatment (HMT) on the properties of waxy maize starch nanoparticles (SNPs) was investigated. The SNPs were adjusted to 20% and 30% moisture levels and heated at 90 °C and 110 °C for 4 h. Transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffractometry, differential scanning calorimetry, and Fourier transform infrared ...
