A dajkafehérjék az öregedési folyamatokban = Molecular chaperones in the ageing process [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
A stresszválasz fontos szerepet játszik az öregedésben, és terápiás célpont a korfüggő betegségek kezelésében. Pályázatunkban kimutattuk, hogy (1) az öregedés kóroki tényezőjeként ismert oxidatív stressz osztódó sejtekben nem vezet fehérje denaturációhoz

A Randomized, Double-Blinded, Phase II Trial of Gemcitabine and Nab-Paclitaxel Plus Apatorsen or Placebo in Patients with Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer: The RAINIER Trial. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Lessons learnedThe addition of the heat shock protein 27 (Hsp27)-targeting antisense oligonucleotide, apatorsen, to a standard first-line chemotherapy regimen did not result in improved survival in unselected patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer ...

Additive Manufacture of Diamond:Titanium Hybrid Quantum Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Additive manufacture represents one of the most advanced techniques for the creation of complex parts for applications as diverse as aerospace and implant surgery. However, a challenge with bespoke manufacture of metal parts is the incorporation of sensor elements in a fashion compatible with the 3D printing process.

Regulation of translation elongation and integrated stress response in heat-shocked neurons

open access: yesCell Reports
Summary: Neurons deviate from a canonical heat shock response (HSR). Here, we revealed that neuronal adaptation to heat shock accompanies a brake on mRNA translation, slowed elongating ribosomes, phosphorylation of eukaryotic elongation factor-2 (p-eEF2),

Hybrid Magnetoactive Soft Elastomers: Material Development Toward Application in Diaphragm Pumps

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Hybrid magnetoactive soft elastomeric membranes are developed by combining two different types of magnetic particles. The membranes exhibit distinct mechanical, magnetic and thermal properties owing to the unique characteristics of the two magnetic particles.

Anti‐Slip Material‐Based Strategies and Approaches

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This review highlights the principle mechanisms of slipping at the microscale, linking contact mechanics with a friction behavior model for surface interfaces. Main strategies to develop anti‐slip properties to the surfaces are discussed alongside standardized testing approaches.
