Analyzing Thermal Efficiency with Pin Fins, Perforated Bases, SolidWorks 2023 Transient Analysis
A group of fifteen central processing unit (CPU) heat sinks of circular, hexagonal, and rectangular shapes with different f in designs and perforation directions was created and analyzed using SolidWorks 2023. In boundary conditions, a heat flux of 65 W

A Survey of Interlayer Interaction Models for Graphene and Other 2D Materials
Van der Waals interactions arising from electronic polarization at atomically close interfaces generate corrugated interlayer energy landscapes that govern normal and tangential tractions. This review presents an overview of quantum, atomistic, analytical, and continuum modeling approaches, highlighting their roles across length scales in capturing ...

Laser‐assisted synthesis enables rapid (within 1 h) and high‐yield (≥90%) production of Co‐MOFs with mesoporous structures, tunable magnetic and optical properties, and efficient adsorption of N2, CH4, and CO2 for low‐energy gas separation. DFT calculations elucidate the electronic structure and adsorption behavior.

Thermohydraulic performance of microchannel heat sinks with triangular ribs on sidewalls – Part 2: Average fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics [PDF]
Triangular ribs mounted in the microchannel heat sink generally result in higher heat transfer coefficient, but are usually accompanied by higher pressure drop per unit length.

Fully 3D‐Printed Wave‐Wound Electromagnetic Motors
This work presents the first fully 3D‐printed wave‐wound electromagnetic motors, which are created using conductive nanoparticle inks, carbon‐filled nylon polymers, and surface mount components. These motors can achieve a stall torque of 7.62N·mmA−1$7.62 \nobreakspace N{\cdot }mm A^{-1}$ and efficiency of 28.2 %, which approaches the performance of ...

BACKUP AND ULTIMATE HEAT SINKS IN CANDU REACTORS FOR PROLONGED SBO ACCIDENTS
In a pressurized heavy water reactor, following loss of the primary coolant, severe core damage would begin with the depletion of the liquid moderator, exposing the top row of internally-voided fuel channels to steam cooling conditions on the inside and ...
